When you choose Kiddie Karrasel Academy's Pre-K program, you can feel confident your child is learning from a licensed teacher using Iowa's Early Learning Standards to prepare them for kindergarten. We're proud to offer this program at no cost to you, in partnership with Pleasant Valley Schools, and we're committed to making that final step before kindergarten feel seamless.
Nearly 20 years of trusted partnership
For almost two decades, KKA has partnered with Pleasant Valley School District to bring Iowa's FREE Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program (SWVPP) directly to our families.
Free, quality pre-K for eligible 4-year-olds
Children who turn four on or before September 15th and are Iowa residents qualify at no cost, with the program running Monday–Friday, 9:00–11:30 AM in our dedicated PreK classroom.
No extra transportation, no extra transitions
Pre-K is seamlessly built into your child's day at KKA — no shuttling between locations and no disruption to the friends and routines your child already knows.
The best of both worlds
Full-day families get preschool hours included at no extra cost, and flexible extended care is available before and after the program — combining Iowa's academic pre-K foundation with KKA's nurturing, full-day environment.
A dedicated, qualified teaching team
Our PreK classroom is led by a state-licensed Pre-Kindergarten teacher and a degreed assistant teacher, both bringing education, experience, and genuine passion to preparing your child for kindergarten and beyond.
True parent-teacher partnership
With twice-yearly conferences, daily app updates through Playground, weekly class newsletters, and welcomed family involvement, you're always connected to your child's growth and kindergarten readiness journey.
"Thank you for providing a safe, loving and fun place for our 3 children over the last 9 years! We loved being a part of Kiddie Karrasel and can't thank the staff and Angie enough for providing a healthy and educational environment."
